I attended  the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior (VSA) and graduated with distinction. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). As a VSA-Certified Dog Trainer,  I am committed to using only positive, force-free methods of training and behavior modification. Over the years, I have fostered and worked with a variety of rescue dogs as well as competitive sport dogs. I feel it is important to give back to my community.  So, I am currently training a therapy dog to work at a local hospital and also volunteer with a local rescue group, The Maggie Society. I enjoy participating in dog sports. I dabble in agility for fun and actively participate in AKC Obedience, having put several titles on my shelties. My special interests lie in helping prepare rescue dogs for life with their new families and in working with puppies to prevent behavioral problems from developing.
